Moonlight Backpackers Lodge is a 50 hectares game farm with a variety of wildlife, in the valley below the Magaliesburg mountains. Our closest towns are Hartbeespoort and Brits. Pretoria is only half an hour from us, and Johannesburg only an hour, which makes Moonlight Backpackers Lodge a great alternative for those people who do not want to stay in a town or city.

The area around Moonlight Backpackers Lodge offers a large variety of things to see and do. Pilanesberg national park is only one hour from us, and the world renowned De Wildt Cheetah Centre is only two kilometers from us. You can also visit Lesedi cultural village, the elephant sanctuary, the snake and reptile park, the arts and crafts markets, the monkey sanctuary, do a game walk in the Magaliesberg mountains and much more. We are very proud of the accommodation that we offer. It is comfortable, private and clean. Almost all our clients comment on the standard of the accommodation, considering that it is a backpackers lodge, and we offer very reasonable rates.

Moonlight Backpackers Lodge is a small game farm with a variety of wildlife. We have hides / view points at the water holes where our guests can sit to watch the animals coming to drink. See "Wildlife at the lodge" for more information.
